I need to clean the grease off my trailers rims from the years of use. What is a good grease cleaner? Should I just try engine degreaser? I need something that won't eat away the crome, thank you.

kerosene will cut the grease, then use dawn dish soap, in a bucket.

Purple Power, White Lightnin', lots of stuff that'll strip the grease, but if you strip it then it can expose any bare metal to moisture and corrosion, so afterward maybe go back over your wheels, lug nuts with some type of protectant. I spray my lug nuts with white lithium grease. Maybe some grease is better than corrosion. Good Luck!

I used to use Purple Power, Simple Green or White lightning until it tried a cleaner called Awesome. Available at most of the dollar stores in 16, or 20 oz spray bottles or refills. Use it straight for tough jobs, or dilute for light cleaning. For a buck you can't beat it.

I didn't even think of that for grease removal, we use it to clean toys and stuff at our consignment shop. We also got this stuff that is highly concentrated, and works great. The salesman sold it to us and he shot it in his mouth to show how harmless it was.

I like using MO-JO hand cleaner or any other waterless hand cleaner.
