good motor

1987 mercury 200 hp was considering purchasing one for my boat . compression checks great, starts and runs well ,sounds very powerful... came with 27 inch pitch prop.
any problems with this make and model or is is reliable

merc v6's are bullet proof! easy to work on, parts are easy to get, and they used the same design for almost 20 years, so parts are easily interchangable.

i love merc v6's. i have 3 currently. so i may be a bit biassed

what type of boat are you putting it on. a 27 p is kinda big. that may be good for a light weight bass boat, but not a center console
