My Chrysler 1979 6hp is back in the water. After much trouble, as some of you may recall, it is finally fixed. I put in below the Santee dam and ran it full throttle the whole length of the "Bar Pit" and back (5mi) without a problem accept for a cough after a half mile. This forum has helped me very much as far as advice in changing the water pump and other minor problems. After having the head milled and a new gasket put on, it purrs like a kitten. The only little problem is in the fuel line connection. I think it is the male connector. It must be...I changed everything else. I still have to prime it with a squirt of gas/oil into the carb.
