Took the kids out by myself Saturday. My wife was out of town so I figured I would take advantage of the first nice weekend we have had here in NC in a while and take the kids to the lake.
Apparently, everyone else thought the same thing.
Some observations:
Oh yeah, and just in the time I was loading back onto my trailer, I saw one guy launch without his plug in and another guy take a half inch off his skeg because he didn't raise the motor before driving off. The expression on both their faces was priceless. I was just glad it wasn't my day for an oops.

Some observations:
- I will not do the solo thing (kids are 6 and 8 - they can't drive and don't count) again on a busy weekend.
- My wife must learn to either drive the boat (launch and retrieve) or back the trailer onto the ramp. Way too hectic and inefficient doing it by myself when it's busy at the ramp.
- My next purchase has to be a bimini!! 90 degrees is HOT with nowhere to get out of the sun
- Floating sticks look an awful lot like a snake coming at your kids. Never saw a 6 and 8 year old walk on water before!!
- Lots of boats on the lake make for REALLY big waves.
- Smart Tabs are the best thing ever invented (see #5).
