visiting with a local apple farmer who was bragging
about his "unique" transom repair...
(6? P.Yan 16' V hull)
he drilled holes from top of transom close to very
bottom, let dry for a while, then added some kinda
wood filler for rotted wood.
pushed hard on the old Lark and couldn't budge her!
no worries, only running her in the erie canal,
but sure seems like idea has some merit???
time will tell, but wonder what you guys think?
M.Y.

Did that farmer use CPES from the "ROT_Doctor"?
Have read claims from the "Doc's site that CPES is good stuff. Gonna use it myself as a pre treat on new wood going into my Slikker.

PC_Slikker

Interesting, but I couldn't budge my motor either and then tore into it to find the transom was half rotten and had Carpenter Ants in it. I guess the only way I feel you can be sure is it you glassed in new wood, then you really would have no worries. I don't worry at all now, and the Beast is as solid as you can get now....
