I have the 1850 center console. I love the boat, but wasn't too happy with the head sea pounding I was taking. I used the engine to trim the boat, as my trim tabs were inop. Well, I replaced tha tab pistons and took it out for a spin and I think I'm in love again. This is a boat that MUST have tabs!

Re: Got a

Cool Stu. I have Smart Tabs on mine, I think it may be better served with some adjustable tabs though.

Smart Tabs put a constant spring force down on the tabs. They move up and down depending on the force of the water passing by. The force is adjustable by changing the position of the linkage.

I put a set on my boat. It works great in calm water (lakes) almost no bow rise and very quick hole shots. I'm about to test them in the ocean, I believe it will reduce the tendency to launch itself at the top of every swell.
