Ok If the deal is to good then something is got to be wrong?
Well I bought a boat off craigs list for 4k the boat is a 21 foot Kenner with a 150 mercury that runs great.
The boat was listed as needing TLC carpet needing replacement.
Well long story short I bought the boat and have just about finished the carpet job and while I was walking around on the floor I noticed a soft spot about 4 foot from the transome about 6 inches round.
It has not cracked and I can put all my weight on it with out it cracking the fiberglass.
My question is can I fish for a year or is this something I can put off for a while.
I realy hate to pull the whole floor up unless I have to at this point.
The boat is a 21 foot center console bay boat.

Re: Got a question on soft spot!

Hello Red.

Yea..everyone has some soft spot in the deck..

Yes you can fish for a year.. IF all things are looked at..just be common since safe m8..

If not done then do..

1. change gear lube ( lower ) its ez..
2. change oil/filter ( ez )
3. Look at your transom .. really good.. you dont want that baby coming off and flying over your head. once again..common brains m8..

4. run without children..hard.. then come back to get your tackle and have fun..
