Hi all,

I really hope this isn't a stupid question, and will take my lumps if it is...

I had my 'rude 35 ('79 #35953A) running in the tank yesterday, and I was re-routing the ignition switch harness. I happend to touch one of the screws on the switch, and BAM! What I shock I got!  :D

Question: Why would there be juice like that way up there at the switch?

My old motor ('76 'rude 25 don't remember the model#) didn't have that issue, so I'm wondering, is something wired incorrectly here? I realize that this is a stator-type engine with a charging system and all that, but what would the juice be doing up there at the switch? And if this is normal, what can I do with this juice, since it seems to be like an AC current or something...

Thanks
Rick
