Runs and idles pretty good....well to me it does..LOL.

Did notice a small fuel leak I think....waaayyyyy at the bottom of the carb, where some wiring runs under it....leak isn't a drip, but a very fine mist...??? Weird.

Motor would cough a little when cold, and I could see a puff coming out from the leak area....carb kit and impeller kit is supposed to be here today, so I'll tear into her when I can.

I can't see any place where a leak could occur down there, took the starter loose, and could see the fuel feed line, but everything looked okay....maybe just a bad gasket...

Here's a little video.....

Congrats on the great deal Garzilla. $200 for boat and motor is sweet. I didn't see the mist you were talking about in the vid, but I'm guessing it may be a slightly loose hi/lo speed idle vlave needle on the carb and/or a loose drain plug in the bowl of the carb. Just a couple thoughts. I'm sure carb kit will fix it. good luck.

No, mist isn't in this video....that's from yesterday...today when I was messing with it is when I noticed it......it's under the hood....under the carb.

Probably couldn't get a decent video of it.

Thanks!!! I know, 2 clams...couldn't pass it up.

Re: Got her going...all well except for a little issue.

Got carb and impeller done today....leaking gas was due to the little hose going from the bock, around to the right side of the motor was deteriorating.....lower unit was scary taking off.....and even worse going on.....little shift rod is kind of a pain.

My motor has the long shaft conversion on it.....should there be gaskets between the two halves? Because there wasn't.....some sludge buildup on top of the impeller housing....but looked okay otherwise..

Carb didn't even need a rebuild to me......everything looked brand new in there...but now it's really new lol..

125# in both cylinders...new carb and impeller....50:1......this thing hopefully will last me a while ;)
