finally got the lower unit on what a b@#$%.now its not pumping water i put new gaskets, impeller and top housing on but no water is flowing through the tell tale i am using muffs for water. I dont want to tear this SOB back down. on my earlier posts i had concerns about the pump housing to copper tube seal and i am willing to bet that very seal is f^%*&^% me.any suggestions would be appreciated

If it's that tube seal then there would probably be a bit of water draining back out the leg when you shut her down. Pull the muffs as soon as you shut it off and check it out. That's the only thing I can think of..it's possible the copper tube is bent now with your repeated attempts at mounting...or the rubber seal is damaged. I feel your pain...a perfect fishing weekend and hear we sit...fixing motors...ugh I gotta get a new boat....with a warranty.

Is the tell tell plugged up?

Snake a wire through it, blow some air through it to be sure it is clear.

What motor are you working on?

Is the cylinders beginning to overheat, the exhaust side getting hot?

Is there any water 'mist' coming from the upper exhaust 'vent' when running?
