Got me a free boat today! cheap boat but im happy

Ok so I am about done on the larson and I wanted a decent fishing boat to mess with. Well I went on craigslist and there was a guy that was selling the trailer but giving away the boat. This boat will need no more than 100$ to be on the water. If it needed anymore, I wouldn't of gotten it because its a bayliner but its got alot of cool stuff to it and its enough to make me happy so thats all that matters right?


Runs, needs new throttle cables, and the steering needs to be hooked up and alot of cleaning. And a battery.

Just gotta find me a cheap trailer now.

Forgot to mention: the Transom and stringers are FRESH! And everything else is solid! So I didn't do too bad.

If someone did the stringers and transom and bailed then you did get a deal and a half. Sometimes when things look the darkest during the rebuilt it's easy to bail.

Let someone else do all the hard work and enjoy the fruits of the labor

SWF, I am a Starcraft (aluminum) owner and not a fan of fiberglass but I gotta say I am waiting for your pic on America's Most Wanted. You stole that boat and I know you can't sleep at night.
If that boat came with the motor (or not) you have made a heck of a deal. Good Luck with the resto, if any, and have fun.

It came with everything except a trailer but the guy I got it from let me use his to get it to my shop...

Story: brother gave the boat to dude, dude did not want boat because he wants to make money on trailer, was giving away boat. I got boat. Short and sweet.

Hooked up alittle external gas tank to it today, started right up! Everything on the boat works.

Here's my list of things to do before it hits water:
*Make sure 2nd half is sealed up
*get new captain seats (has 1, other is broke. I want matching ones though)
*control cables (found both for 36$ just gotta order it)
*Make sure gas tank is empty and clean
*drain plug
*then the stuff to make it legal.

Half way done buffing. Starting to look gewdddddd

Well actually... (yeah im 18 but ill admit it), im currently tearing up cause I have not seen my dad in quite awhile and he just drove to Florida from TN WITH my boat (the Dusky) for x-mas.... No wonder why he didn't like the idea of this free boat lol.

So now I have 2 boats and my buddy's boat (he pays for everything, I enjoy working on it). And dad is here for christmas. Definately best Christmas by far.
