This is a progress report on my 15' trihull and motor. I spent the last week getting pecans, leaves, compost etc. out of my boat and got it pretty clean. Today I bought a new battery and got a fresh tank of gas. Hooked it up, pumped the bulb about 10 times until I felt pressure, hooked up the muffs and got water flowing then lifted the start lever on the console. Cranked it about 10 seconds with the choke and it started right off. I was so happy I could scream!! It is my first boat and motor too big to put in the back of my truck and drive off. I idled it down and engaged the lower unit, in forward and reverse to see if it turned. I didnt go much above idle as I didnt want to damage anything.
Now I am off to the carwash again to finish cleaning it...me and the missus are off to the lake tomorrow.....YEEHAW!!!
