Finally got my new capacity plates made. It took me a while to decipher what was on the old faded sticker, but I think that I got it all correct. I designed the graphic using GIMP and then a friend of mine owns a specialty print shop. The graphic is printed on a heavy, stiff plastic and then covered with a layer of plexiglass. All bonded together. I hope you can see the construction in the 2nd picture below.

It sure looks legal...I have plans for where my capacity sticker is...would love the option of mounting it elsewhere...

Sure looks nice. Will probably last longer than the boat!

A good friend of mine owns a specialty printing operation in St. Louis. They do a lot of large format photo and other printing for corporations across the U.S. Sorry, I don't feel comfortable just giving out the name of the company as I don't want to violate any forum rules, nor do I want to have a bunch of folks trying to contact them out of the blue.:D

The hardest part was trying to decipher the name of the city where it was manufactured. My old sticker was very faded. I first thought that it was going to say New Paris, IN. But all I could make out was the "N", "AP", and "EE". I had to scroll through a list if Indiana cities to find the match of Nappanee

I though about changing the HP rating to 115 as I have seen similar boats to mine with that rating.

All I need to do is drill a couple of holes and mount it to the boat.
