got oil

hello everyone great to be here

i have a simple question that searchin through all the threads i couldn't seem to get a answer. i have a lovely 1959 johnson seahorse 18 non presserized fuel tank. I would like to know the fuel mix for this engine. its funny but i even heard that i could run 10w30 in it i would like to get your guys input.

24:1 fuel:eek:il. Use TCW3 oil only. You can find it at Walmart or a marine supply store or most auto parts places. Do not use automotive oil...it's not designed for that application.

24:1 TCW-3, 2 cycle outboard oil for the 1959.
You heard the other thing half right. You could use straight 30 weight, non-detergent motor oil, but that is not been recommended for use since the 60's, except in emergencies. TC-W3 is much superior to motor oil for two-cycle, water cooled boat engines.

thank u guys for your speedy response, i am very gratfull for your help and i am sure that i will be throwin a bunch more questions at ya soon. the motor wouldnt start a week ago but with sum help from here and a lil luck i got it idlein perdy low still rich one the high speed but i think i will have to get to water to sort that one out
