Said he hit the brakes but newish Honda Civic didnt stop - my 87 Camry bumper a bit pushed down but not bad and drove away, he asked to settle w/o ins co.s, no way!! A bit sore and going to docs to get checked out - a bit mid upper back, slight neck and rt shoulder aches, nothin crazy though, saw him coming live a second before he hit me. Gonna get car checked out as well. - How annoying!! But could have been much worse. Glad for seat belts!

Jacuzzi can be a double edged sword. It will relax the muscles while you're in there but may lead to more inflammation and swelling in the joints of the vertebrae in your neck/across your shoulders and your lower back when you wake up tomorrow. I always recommend ice at least for a couple nights to keep things from swelling up while you sleep and hurting even more the next morning. If you do try the jacuzzi it wouldn't be a bad idea to ice before going to sleep.

Worst case with ice will rarely do any harm vs worst case adding heat will cause swelling following any period of inactivity....making things a lot worse in a hurry.

Isn?t it amazing how even a little fender bender will make you feel sore the next day. And I can tell you with absolute assuredly that it doesn?t get any easier with age either. Hope you do feel better quickly too. It can happen so quickly some times... But look at the bright side (there IS always a bright side to most everything if you truly look). Just thank God he wasn?t running 50MPH or things would be much worst for sure.

He wanted to settle outside the insurance company, and there is no police report filed? I would of got a police report. It will make it tougher in court w/o one. And what if there's medical bills? I hope there were witnesses...

You never file a police report in CA unless someone is seriously injured. You do have to file a DMV accident report though if there is an injury or property damage over $750.

https://www.dmv.ca.gov/eformsinfo/sr/sr1.htm

A police report only occurs if the police happen to show up which they never do for an accident as minor as this.

They sure vary from state to state.

Wisconsin - If You Have An Accident - Next Steps With The WI DMV at DMV.org: The DMV Made Simple
Accidents involving an injury, $1000 or more of property damage to any single property, or $200 or more of damage to government property (other than a motor vehicle) mean that you must contact police right away.

Peanlties:
The state is serious about following the proper procedures after an accident. Failing to stop or remain at the scene of the accident, or to comply with other accident procedures, could result in fines and possibly jail time, along with a felony conviction on your record.

Heck, you need to even report a deer vehicle collision:
In the event that a motorist hits a deer with their vehicle, they should report the incident to the local sheriff's or police department.

I hit a deer once and they asked me why I didn't report it. I said, "It was a deer!".

You could end up with writer's cramp filling out reports for deer collisions in Pennsylvania. I can't even remember the number of deer I have hit in 57 years of driving. A guess would be some where between 10 and 15. We had one of our officers hit a deer one evening on his way to a meeting with a state truck. He went to the region office and got a different truck and ended up hitting another one within a half hour of the first.

Really ???

Sure!!!!
How else do you think half of us were able to afford these boats?

Mine was bought by a teenager that was text messaging while driving.
Even had enough left over from the settlement to fill the tank a few times. :D:p;)
