GOUCH! Help!

I woke up with a little Gout in the "big knuckle" of my right big toe today and it has just got worse to where I can hardly stand on it! I have had this before but nothing that hurts like this, other than the Doc, any home remedies????

Rotate with ice and heat on the location and cut down on red meat in your diet. It is caused by high levels of uric acid.

My BIL goes through this several times a year. He gets the same way where he can barely move his legs sometimes.

Buddy of mine suffers a few times a year. He says it is the uric acid as well and steers clear of red meat as said above.

Have had it in the past. Now I take Allopurinol regularly. Stay off the red meats, as mentioned. Also, dried beans and organ meat. Now you may think that you don't eat organ meat, but think bologna, salami, pepperoni, hot-dogs, etc.

I have had it in the past and it is the worst pain I have ever had in my life.
Cherries and cherry juice counteract the acid, it will help get rid of it faster.

My brother and Dad get it bad. If you can't walk, get to the doctor and they can give you a shot to dissolve the crystals fast. You will be better tomorrow.

Thanks for the info! Much better today, I can walk on it but it's still sore.
I hate going to the Doc. Will try the cherry juice.
If I gotta cut back on red meat that means I gotta go catch more fish.

Ayuh,... Do it anyways....

Get yourself onto an Allopurinol program,...
Gout can lead to life threatening Issues if left untreated....

I used to just Suffer thru it, but got educated about it... You should too...
