Hi
Just installed a Lowrance 7200c Plotter and i want it to share its Lat/Long with my DSC radio which is a NASA SX35.

In the menu system on the GPS it hasn't got the $GPRMC listed as an option can anyone help.
The GPS options include different Baud Rates, NMEA 0183 output and input and about 5 others on another options screen.#

Also on the cabling !!
GPS has Transmit, Receive and shield, and the radios wires include - Receive + and -
Transmit + and theres also a shield.
I'm not sure which of the radios wires to connect to the gps, and what do i connect both shields to?
Any help would be great.

Re: $GPRMC NMEA Data sentance help

$GPRMC is a protocol variable, not a communication link ID. You want to set the unit to NMEA 0183

As for the wires, receive on the radio goes to transmit on the GPS and vice versa. The shields get tired together
