Hello everyone, glad to see there are people with Stingray boats! I've had my Stingray about a year now and just moved her from a lake to more open bay waters. Seeing as how I am still unfamiliar with these new waters, and it seems to be pretty easy to run aground, I've been thinking of getting GPS. Would you recommend going through the process to buy and install? thoughts?

Depends on your want/needs.

If you just need is GPS an app for your cell phone or a hand held device is the logical solution.
If you want depth as well, you have mount the head unit at the helm and wire to a source of power.

You then have to locate and mount the transducer and run the transducer cable form the transom to the helm.

Not an insurmountable task, but one that takes a bit of time and knowledge to accomplish
