I'm looking for a inexpensive GPS for river boating. I like the ones with charts and bouy locations, but only need something small, and handheld. If anyone has a similar situation and has had sucess with one I would appreciate the help. I've checked boatfix.com but not sure which one fits my needs. Thanks

You can't beat the Garmin GPSMap line. I have the 162 with the software and it is awesome. I can plot all my trips waypoint-to-waypoint at home, download them to the GPS and off I go. Amazing!
