GPS speedo/tach?

The holes around my speedometer pitot rotted out. Rather than redrilling I'd like to replace it with a GPS unit. My tach is also off, and I'd like tach functionality as well. Can anyone point me to something not ridiculously expensive? I'd like the tach to run off the distributor rather than be an inductive unit. Would something like this work?

Does the application info for the unit specify your motor? Modrrn Outboard tachs usually run off the stator pulses.

A cell phone will often have GPS speed on it. Speedo Pitots are cheap and easily replaceable.

No. I don't have a modern outboard. I'd want it running off the coil

Transoms are not. Phones make crappy gauges
