grady white stringer

i was disassembling the grady white since the floor needs to be repairs i came across one of the stringers has a bad spot were about half of the plywood stringer is missing in a little 5 or 6 inch section the wood around it is rock solid. is it possible to repair the bad spot alone.

Sure, cut out all the bad, Fabricate the replacement piece so it fits in-between. Coat it wth 3 coats of epoxy then sister it in on bothe sides using deck screws. Tab it all in with glass and you're done. Something like this...

may accually end up replacing a majority of the stringers depending on there condition when the floor come up. i expected alot of work when i got the boat though. but you have to when getting a grady for free
