Re: Graphic decals....online?????
I work at a commercial sign shop, just about any sign shop can do the job. Even the large graphics are pressure sensitive applied vinyl. The applied vinyl lasts longer than enamel paint, thats the kind of paint thats used, slow drying and keeps a wet edge longer, Vynyl looks better too Specify 8 or 9 year film, 3-M or Avery are the best. I've seen these films last 15 years.

C17 you got a deal or the guy was drunk. Most sign shops have a minimum purchase of around 75.00. If a guy sits down at a computer to write the program (design) than cuts out design weeds it and masks it, it will take 1/2 to 3/4 hours than there is the materials than profit. We would have charged you 75.00

There are those store front shopping center sign shops that work cheap but you get what you pay for. They use 2 to 3 year film of the cheapest brands. They have to cut costs somewhere to sell cheap. Go for the good stuff consider what it's going on (your gem) and the conditions (water) it will be in.

Purse Snatcher you are talking about a lot of graohics and maybe a logo with lettering. A good sign shop will be able to match anything you want, any logo too. If it a lot of larger or longer graphics or pin striping have the sign shop apply them. It's the cheapest part of the job if you take your boat to them. They have the experience to apply it straight and bubble free. ***the larger the design the harder to apply*** If you just want lettering like in the picture you could do that. From your description count on spending 200 to 400. Go to a commercial sign shop ask for the materials I noted, spend a little more but you will be very happy for a long time.

f_i you are in MD my shop is in Balto, been in business since 1930, I've been there 17 years. Give me your email address, I can probably hook you up with something nice and reasonable.

Just FYI
