Greasing the out drive 228 mercruiser

So I know how to use a grease gun but my question is how much to put in each fitting and what kind of grease to use?

I use two grease guns, one with a tube of Quicksilver spline grease for the input shaft (in the coupler), gimbal bearing (if greaseable) and the U-joints (if greaseable), and one with a tube of Quicksilver 2-4-C for the gimbal ring (swivel pins and pivot pins), and propshaft.
