ok, so i found a boat i like. stratos 20' deep v offshore boat. comes with a dead 1988 175 black max. the prop turns while in gear and i can tell the pistons are turning, im gonna check compression tomorow. what should it be? provided that checks out is $3000.00 reasonable for boat, motor, and aluminum I beam trailer with brakes?<br />any possible ideas on motor problem. or should i can the motor and find another one. im assuming somthing is going on with carbs. guy swears it ran great before the end of last season. he works for a credit uinion so id assume he honest.<br />whatcha think? im verry familiar with hot rods and motor cycles, but boat motors are a new hobby.<br />thanks for the responces<br />Garrett
