Teamstromer,
we are both blessed. I too received an Alumacraft 2003 185 SC with 115 Yam'4 stroke for my birthday last October from my sweetie. We must have done something very good in a previous lifetime or will have to work hard to pay for it in the next!! Good fishing to you and your wife...W

Teamstrome,

It is so fine to have such a wife. Mine of 17 years played golf (8 handicap) and taught me. A few years into that with no improvement in my game, SHE suggested fishing! She bought the first boat and we've now graduated to the 17' bass boat. Three weeks ago SHE decided I needed a newer tow vehicle and bought me a low mileage 2000 F-150, 4WD, SuperCab, w/ 5.4L V8. Ain't life grand!

tcube

I have a great wife also that loves to fish, but although she knows vehicles pretty well, There is no way I would want her to pick out a boat or a truck for me, We do everything together. As nice as the thought would be, I have no doubt that I would be less than happy with her purchase. Now if we had been looking together and she knew what I wanted and surprised me, then that would be a different story.

One of our boys bought his wife a PT Cruiser for her birthday, she was less than excited. She wanted to pick the color and the options, and I do not blame her.

Anyone want to trade wives? :D

I want a new Center Console and she wants a Walk Around for the kid (soon to be kids).

But yet, she hasn't bought us one. Guess she needs to get back to work instead of being an at home Mommy.

Lets see...one is 4, newborn will arrive in 2 months. Guess I gotsta buy now so it can be paid off before college tuition starts...

LUBEDUDE,
I too would have reservations about Phyllis just going out and buying a boat, in fact she would never do anything like that without both of us involved. We had been boat shopping for a while and she knew that I wanted the Alumacraft but was unwilling to splash out. She was the one who made it happen. She is awesome, she causes quite a stir when we go fishing as she is the one throwing the cast net for bait. I am a lucky guy...W

I thought I was doing good. My wife encouraged me to buy a boat. She figured, the more time I spent away from home (and her), the better.
RCS
