Hey everyone, any other Seattle boaters have a awsome Seafair weekend.

We took my wifes family out on Friday, launched at Magnuson and went through the ship canal. Her sisters son is a big Deadliest Catch fan, so we took him over to Ballard. The North American is there and the Wizard too. Sig must be out fishing with the Northwestern.

Saturday, huge line at the boat launch. Managed to get in the water by 12:30 and made it out to the bridge by 1:30 to watch the show.

Went to Ivars Salmon house for lunch. I have just tied up when a lady came up and wondered if i could move my boat, because her friend in her 60 yatch needed to back in to pick her up. Ummm no, see the end of the dock there????

Left after and went through the Locks :i.e putting up with a random boater for 30 min then took them out around Ft Lawton and got some good pictures with downtown in the background.

On the way, the wind was with us. On the way back we had wind against us and 2-2.5 waves, couldnt plane as we had 7 people in the boat and even trimmed it bounced in the trough. So we took the lesser evil 10 knots, ewww. Untill we rounded the light house at Lawton the waves were spaced just so, that the bow would drop on each one spraying me. I was soaked.

Got back to the launch at 10:30, looks like someone had forgotten the plug as there was a bow bobbing in the water at the launch.

Any other Seattle boaters have any good Seafair stories.
