from what I have read on here the green goo I have coming down the starter side of my motor is from the stator coils melting. model 50esl74m, how much time do I have left before replacement? not much goo right now. will it worsen or level out as I replace impeller and get everything else right?

It will last till it quits:), no way to tell for sure. It is an electrical componet and can fail at any time.
You best bet is to replace it.

I figured as much, one day it's gonna just quit. Can't really complain, I only paid $50 for the motor and it runs. Just needs carbs rebuilt. When the stator does go out, will I still have rope start or will I just be stranded?
