Grew boats anyone?

Anyone have experience with Grew boats from the late 90s? I know the Grew name changed hands many times since the 70s (when they were known for good boats).<br /><br />The particular boat I'm looking at is a Centre console 19 footer. Not too many of those around.

They are very much a entry level boat,in my opinion I found them to be a little small for a 19', low freeboard, overall they looked cheap and lightduty but thats my opinion. If you want info on them you might try your luck with Central Marine in Midland they sold Grews.

Actually my brother bought a Grew from them, had a hull failure within about 20 hours of use they did not support him to well. but then again the boat was used it was an 89 I think he bought it in 95. So my opinion is based from that problem.

Thanks. Central Marine has the used 1999 Grew 19 footer that I'm interested in. I have a call into Grew Mfg. to ask some questions. I have a feeling this isn't the type of boat I'm looking for.
