grounded boat

I'm installing new battery and rewiring old pontoon boat. Previous owner had ground wire from bat to hull it doesnt look like somethig that was done by tracker. Do I want to do have the hull grounded or not? What about electralasis?

Make sure you do not copy the " " marks when you wish to paste the link. Link works fine for me as well.
