Groundhog Day

While searching the headlines to see Punxsutawney Phil's prediction, I found a few of his 'cousins'.

It appears we have about 3 in our state:
Nibbles D.Groundhog in Asheville, NC
Sir Walter Wally in Raleigh,NC (NC State's official Groundhog)
Queen Charlotte Groundhog in Charlotte, NC

It may be hard to believe right now, but ALL of them are predicting an early spring

Yep, Phil came out of his hole and said the Steelers are in the Super Bowl, not gonna see my shadow, early spring! And he is 99% of the time correct, so there you have it ... early spring!

The only one who really matters is Wiarton Willie from Wiarton Ontario. He and his father before him, have been providing the spring report since the mid 1950's.

This year he couldn't see himself in a mirror never mind his shadow, it was so snowy. But that still means an early spring, so I'm gonna have top start my spring & summer planning pretty soon.

But that can't start until I snow blow the 2-3' of snow in my driveway.
