I own a 1995 Grumman 1666sp aluminum V hull.
Since the OMC selloff I am unable to find out the hull& gunule thickness along with other info you might find in a sales brochure. Any info or comments (good or bad)pertaining to this boat are welcome.

Re: Grumman Info

They are built like Grumman Hellcats (no pun intended). The name is synonemous with aluminum craftsmanship.
You can try the yahho.com ,and search under it's name. I do recall seeing a grumman/Lonestar boater's club, but can't find the link. (just tried).
But you may be able to locate it thru Yahoo (didn't try that one yet).

mis,

Click here for current mfg. and history of Grumman boats. This Co. is still making the 16 footer. A lot of info here.
http://www.marathonboat.com/history2.htm

Click here for a 1995 boat just like yours that is for sale. It will give you an idea of what others value the boat.
http://www.hiawathaboat.com/erlander.htm

Hope it helps!

Good luck and welcome to the best boat site on the web! ;)

Grummans are very popular in Delaware, you will see many on the water.

I would not hesitate to buy one, if it fit the bill for what I was after.

Bombadier will still honor the hull warrenty, if the boat still has it.

I owned a Sea Nymph that they replaced with a Lowe, because of a corrosion problem.

Can't say enough good things about Lowe for their replacement support on a 7 year old boat.

I'd expect Grumman owners would get the same treatment.
