GT 200 smokes alot

Hey guys, I have a 1986 gt 200. The engine runs great but seems to smoke a lot. I have used the Johnson and Mercury oils, they seem to be the same. I cut back a little on the premix, (vro disconnected), didn't help. It mostly smokes upon start up. Any thoughts?

It will smoke a bit more when it starts but should clear up shortly after. What spark plugs are you using?

Also, make sure that your thermostats are functioning properly and that the recirculation check valves are working properly,

It may be a good time to do your annual de-carbon treatment.
