GT200 Tach

I was working on the wiring last weekend tracing every wire and found that a wire labled "Tachometer" is not connected to the motor, it was loose in near the battery. Does anyone know where on the moto the tach wire connects so I can trace it to see what end isn't connected?

It is a 1987 Johnson GT200.
