Does anyone use GTA Fuel Enhancer? I have a freind that has been using it for a few months and swears that it is next to a miracle product. Im always a bit leary on anything like this, but he says that he has talked to the president of the company and that it has benifits for every type of vehicle, diesel, gas and 2cycle. Lower emisions, cleaner burning, higher gas miliage, Hype, or what? Ive looked at the product on the internet, and the theory looks good.

GTA Fuel Enhancer

Re: GTA Fuel Enhancer

I have been reading on the link you provided and it looks like pretty good stuff. I have decided to order some to put in a diesel truck. Appreciate the link.

RetNav:

You be the guiny pig with the diesel and let us know how you like it, Ill be the guiny pig with an out board and let all know. My freind gave me enough to try in my boat, Im going to use a remote tank and see if it makes any difference. Im going to be busy testing when I get my boat back. There will be quite a write-up when Im done. Im changing to synthetic, installing smart tabs, Maybe a different prop, raising my engine one hole, and the fuel additive. All separtly and will post how each thing changed or didnt change anything. Probably take a whole day of messing around.

By increasing the viscosity of the fuel, it will change the spray pattern, but I really dont know if this will have a significant effect.

I would have to check how much it would change the viscosity. It says 10 parts per million is the doseage and that is very small.

My question is, if it works so great, why doesnt the government or the EPA require it? Others would say, because big oil lobbies to keep gas use up.

I am very skeptical.

Ken

Re: GTA Fuel Enhancer

It seems between Retnav and me, we are going to find out, I dont see how it can hurt anything. I talked to the pres of the company on the phone today, He said it has a more dramatic effect on 2 cycles and diesels. It also raises the octain a bit without the bad effects of running too high of an octain in a vehicle that dosnt need it. Will not cause carbon build up like other additives will, also lowers cylinder temps. It will be interesting to see how it effects my 150, as with boats you have an RPM at WOT to compare against. There are claims of as much as 50% fuel savings with outboards, Thats a hard one to swallow!!!

Re: GTA Fuel Enhancer

Lubedude, there is no way possible a high molecular weight polymer could increase the octane. What he might of meant is that the better fuel atomization allows more even burning, which makes the lower octane fuel burn like a high octane fuel. This might also have an effect on the clyinder temp.

It almost is like the guy is telling you it cause world peace. Too many claims make me even more skeptical.

Let us know how it works.

ken

Kenimpzoom: Please understand, Im not trying to stick up for this product, as I havnt tried it yet, but here is a testimonial that didnt come from his site for what its worth. And I agree with what you said about the octane.

I took delievery of my first quart of GTA Fuel Enhancer. My test was simple, run my Aggressive 94 Octane map with a full tank of 93 octane + 2.1 oz GTA. Although I hadn't tried in a while, this map will make 93 octane knock in my car.

Some side notes on GTA. Man this stuff is sticky. It has the consistancy of slime. To the point that it leaves a trail from the filler pipe to the spout when you're trying to remove it. A little wipe up and all was good. I drove around 30 miles or so and then switched to my 94 map. I was able to do a few aggressive acceleration runs and never a shadow of knock. That's impressive enough for me. Can't say much for fuel economy yet, but it seems that GTA does improve the combustion of 93 octane fuel so that it acts like 94 octane. I've heard some people claim it actually does on average +2.8 RON points. If that were the case, I wonder if I could run 91 octane on my less aggressive 94 map? I'd have to have a set of big ones to try that!

LubeDude
I have just ordered the GTA for my truck and will post the difference, good or bad or none at all. I have heard it said "A person convinced against their will is of the same opinion still". I have a feeling it will be the same here.. ;)

Re: GTA Fuel Enhancer

I am a neophyte at diesel stuff. Been doing a lot of reading about fuel. A LOT of reading! It seems the bottom line is fresh, filtered and polished diesel fuel is as good as it can ever get. From what I have read, any additives to the fuel will enhance something somewhere but degrade something else, somewhere else.

Being a diesel wimp, I’ll wait for the results from a long-term evaluation. I want to know what is being degraded by the stuff before it goes into my tank. But I think RetNav should guinea pig the stuff in the meantime. :)
