I'll reveal the answer once a few people gawk at it. This was my old boat. I sold it to someone who understood the risks. Just thought I'd put it up here for fun.

Well I'm guessing that you mean how long after you got rid of the boat, so I'll say the motor fell off on the initial tow.

If you mean how long from the boat being new I'd say the age of the boat minus two or three years. The transom in that pic failed a long time ago.

it has to be a good story, so i'm guessing when they got home there was no longer an engine attached to the boat!

I'm with scipper, I don't think they made it home, and ya, that was shot several years ago.

It's probably a miracle, but its still together even after excessive trailering (transom saver has done its job)... my dad's neighbor bought it in '10 and i saw him pulling tubes with it last year. insane what a transom can take. The boat is a 78. no doubt this is RIDICULOUSLY unsafe.

I was a stupid kid and ran it like that from 2006-2009 trouble free; not to say one should. I just wanted to share my "luck". Knowing what I know now, I woudn't get near a boat in that kinda shape.
