Well it really depends on what you are going to be using it for! What is on there now? Is it Gel coat or is it paint? Do you keep it in the water or is it trailered?

When you say it is in bad shape, what do you mean by that? Do you have any pictures that you can show us what condition it is in?

I would go with fiberglass and gelcoat to keep things original. I would not recommend gluvit for over fiberglass.
