The prop is the part I would worry about. That is going to cause bad performance, vibration and you could have a bent prop shaft.
The prop still rotates smoothly and doesn't wiggle, would that indicate good prop shaft?
I am not sure what the runout is on your drive but they are fine measurements. You wouldn't see it. There is a gauge you use while turning the shaft to check how true it is.
Get it repaired. Don't do it yourself.Oh okay, dang it. I'm going to straighten the prop
An out of balance prop will ruin the bearings n your lower unit. This includes have on blade that is out of pitch. Don't use that prop again until it is fixed
Buy a new one and use the old as a spare..... It should be good enough to get you back to the landing if need be...
You might look for used. I have found aluminum for $40 still in the box. You might be able to find a used stainless within your budget.
I won't go out without a backup prop. I like the suggestions to get a new one and keep that dinged-up prop for emergencies. If you feel that prop does what you need, why not just get one exactly like it?
The coast guards were doing the inspections at the ramps and I payed with flying colors. ....
Now that you got the prop thing straightened out ( pun intended ) exactly how much did you pay the CG?![]()
