just pick up my boat from the shop for a tune up and a shift cable because I had to put it in reverse then forward the cable did not fix the problem I am need some help on this thinking it in the lower half now.

it is really important to have a good mechanic properly diagnose the problem before replacing parts....guessing can get really expencive.
please post back with particulars like engine size/make....drive make and model.
type of shifter....ect....place the post in the proper reepair and maintinence section of the forum......i.e.....the mercrusier forum.
there is also (just about to be) a full tutorial on how to install a shifter in the hull extension thread in the restoration section, if thats any help.
