The middle one is not the same one that was chased.
I used the third picture once when a guy on my river wanted to install "private" channel markers so he could find his way straight 500 yards to his pier from the real channel (he had dredged). At the marine Commission hearnig they had an overhead projector for plats, etc. I just put a picture of that up there and began discussing how the fewer hard obstructions, the better, in a busy river--lots of boaters use it outside the channel, in part to avoid the channel markers!
The picture was worth a thousand names on a petition, to alter a phrase.
