Recently purchased this boat knowing I would have my hands full with a project. The boat came with a 73' 65 Evinrude. Ordered the service manual for the motor and will get to it later.

First, after removing the console and flooring, I found no ribs to add the necessary support I feel necessary to the hull. Now this boat is constructed of what I feel is a very thin aluminum. I also have an 84 bass Tracker aluminum that feels muck more rigid and made from thicker materials. This boat is extremely light weight for its size.

SO, Any suggestions for rib construction will be appreciated. I need to add the support to the hull before moving forward with the rest of the project.

Thanks

Maybe I need to contact a boat builder to see what they might be able to do to supply the aluminum ribs? I was thinking possibly that maybe I could make them out of a rigid foam? I need to do some checking into this! If anyone has any suggestions, please bring em.
