hanging a engine.

i have a 77, 175 and wanting to know if there was a good place to mount some type of eyehook so i can hang the motor, someone told me i could use the three holes on top of the flywheel, just wanting to ask the pro's.

you can use the holes with a flywheel puller/harmonic balancer and grade 8 hardened bolts. some of them came with a lift eye installed on top of the motor. or use an OMC lifting eye. or fabricate one. http://marineengineparts.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/page59.html
