Backyarder. Try tuning the knob all the way in (lightly), then back it off 1 to 2 turns. Give that a try.

hard starter

My dad just gave me his 12' aluminum boat and motor. It has been sitting for about 10 years. I cleaned out the carb. put in new fuel. when i took out the carb. I had turned the rich lean knob and I don't remember how much. now when I pull the starter cord it will cough a few times but it just won't run. Does any one have any advice. It is an evinrude sportwin model#9122r. I don't know what year. Also sometimes it wants to spit back at me. Thanks
