hard starting

i have trouble getting my 1989 70hp Evinrude started but once started it will start super easy and runs great idels great and has great throttle responce . i think i need a fast idel for starting or some way to give it some throttle. i have checked all the fuel lines to make sure i was not losing fuel or sucking air.

I Push Key In To Choke For A Moment As Engine Turns Over And Push The Throttle As Far As I Can Before The Safety Feature Prevents The Engine From Starting. I Have Not Had This Boat Very Long We Are Still Bonding!

pump the primer bulb until hard. hot key in while starting this will activate the choke. high idle also works well.

thanks tashasdaddy! i found out that i have a fast idel after all. like i said i just got the boat and am still getting the feel of it. it is going to be easy starts now!!
