Hard steering?

Hope this is the right place for this question. Never had a boat with power steering before. Bravo 3 outdrive. With the engine off, how hard should it be to steer back and fourth? Mines a little tight. When the boat is running, it seems to steer great. Just curious. I don’t want to chase a problem where it doesn’t exist.

It's just like your car or truck. With the motor off you're fighting the power steering hydraulics.

So what you're describing is normal.
