So, I'm trying to figure out why my engine will fire right up when it is cold, and then, if I leave it sit out on the water for an hour or so not running, it is a complete bear to start. This seems to happen pretty consitently.

Does this make sense to anyone?

Thanks.

sometimes it just the method you use to start when warm.
do you throttle it at all when starting warm ?

when was this engine last tuned or gone over ?

............. if I leave it sit out on the water for an hour or so not running, it is a complete bear to start. ..............

You might want to be a little more specific.

What exactly do you mean "a bear to start"?
