Rinker 212, Volvo 5.0 GXI with power steering: What would be causing the issue in my title. Last time out, after sitting a few weeks, i had a hard time turning the wheel to the right... seemed ok to the left. After a bit of driving, the hard right seemed to loosen up a little but still was noticebaly different than the turn to the left.

last i checked it was good...lol. If it were power steer, wouldnt that affect both right and left turn?
The prop rotates clockwise going forward, so the prop is always trying to move left.

When the wheel is moved to the right it the prop is applying a lot of torque so this is where the PS system is needed to over come the load. When wheel moves to the left the prop is trying to go in that direction so its easier.

Right PS helps to push
Left PS helps to keep it from going to quick to left

I’d think a RH prop would most times want to throw the steering right, if allowed to. Be harder to turn left normally.
