Evinrude Fisherman -64 5,5 hp.<br /><br />I must use both hands to turn the throttle, it is very hard to move. Have put on grease/oil most places.<br /><br />Could somebody please help me?
Ya' probably will have to get under the flywheel eliassen to fix the problem. The "magneto" plate has a brass bushing that rides on a "boss" on the engine block. What happens is the original grease gets hard and sticky causing the mag plate to turn hard. There should be an arm that comes out from under the flywheel that connects to the tower shaft from the tiller handle. Take it off and see if the mag plate is hard to turn.
