Harmonic Balancer

I have a 1987 Bayliner Capri, 4 cyl 3.0L. After removing the harmonic balancer from my engine, how do I go about putting the new one back on? The only way I can see to do it is tap it on with a rubber mallet, or a hammer. Is there any tricks to the trade? It is only held on with a small key, no screws to pull it on......HELP

Good thread on the same issue for a 165.

Attached is what the service manual has to say on the issue. I plan on drilling and tapping mine, local Auto Zone has the tool to press it back on if there is a bolt hole in the center...

I have no hole in the center. It is press fit on. Don't want to pound it on, maybe make something to go across it, and screw it in to something to pull it on???

So frustrated.

I plan on drilling and tapping mine 7/16-20 to use the loaner tool at Auto Zone...

Block of hardwood and a sledge work just fine....
