boracare
it is used mainly in housing to protect wood from termites, but also helps stop wood decay.
it is also used in some of the new pt wood (i think it looks more blue than the old green.)

"What Does The Research Say?
Twelve years of efficacy studies and treatments in the field since 1990 have shown Bora-Care?s ability to prevent termites and other wood-destroying insects from consuming wood or tubing over treated wood to reach untreated wood. Bora-Care simply eliminates wood as a food source. In addition, hundreds of studies have confirmed the effectiveness of borates as a preservative, including more than 40 studies confirming its wood-protecting power"
has any one seen or heard of this? (my background is pest control) it's kinda like boraxo with an acholol to absorb into the wood.
