Has anyone ever used this? Or know someone who has?

Hello Everyone!
I was hoping someone here might know about this product. I recently purchased a boat and have spent the last month during my spare time getting the interior cleaned and looking brand new. However, it is time to move on to the outside. Unfortunately, I have some oxidation (not too much but enough to care it's there) and while researching on how to get rid of it, I came across this product.

Meguiar's website states:
"A specialized three-step system that will effectively restore all fiberglass gelcoats. No. 49 Oxidation Remover will remove oxidation, stains, and scratches. No. 45 Polish will restore brilliant gloss to the finish, and No. 56 Pure Wax will provide long-lasting, durable protection to the restored surface."

Any feedback anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Matt

mequiars makes a good product. while I have not tried that specific product. I have used their cleaning wax often.

I do have a variety of cutting compound that I have used for heavy oxidation. worse case, wet sand with 1200 grit, then hit with cutting compound, then cleaning wax, then wax.

For the gelcoat on this boat?
I ended up getting an '88 Stratos 189V Fish and Ski.
Pix of the gelcoat would be helpful.

It's probably metal flake. If you run your hand across the gelcoat, you can't feel ANY of the flake sticking out, correct? Metal flake & clear gelcoat can be challenging. Pix would certainly help.

Never seen or used that Mequiars product

to add to jb's post if you can feel the metal flake then it is too lake for any product to fix because all the clear gel is gone that was protecting the metal flake. The best you can do is clean it up the best you can and spray either clearcoat or clear gel over it.
